Using my Crook Tele, I am having some Minor Blues fun on a lazy Sunday afternoon… as always, I am using a Carmen Ghia amp from Dr Z, along with a ZVEX box of rock and an EH Holy Grail.
Take a Crook Custom Tele. Add a TV Jones in the neck, a Lollar 52 in the bridge. Plug that sucker into an Electro Harmonix Holy Grail reverb pedal.
Proceed to plug the afore-mentioned gear into a Dr Z Mini Z amp w/ the volume set at 1200hrs, and the attenuator at “4”.
Then go ahead and pretend you can play some blues.
yeah, it’s fun, ain’t it?
I had a little fun with my Crook Tele & Carmen Ghia head over a backing track that I created a while back. I call it “somewhat jazzy” because I don’t have the nerves to pretend I can play jazz 🙂
This guitar features Lollar and TV Jones pickups and a four-way switch.
Trussart SteelCaster Deluxe w/ an Arcane bridge pickup and a TV Jones neck pickup, played through a Carr Mercury. Fun was had by all – especially me 🙂
This guitar is finished in daphne blue paisley, engraved right into the metal body, with a matching headstock. It features a fat maple neck, a holey back and a 4-way switch.
Crook Tele w/ Swart AST amp. Red and silver paisley, Kinman and Adder pickups. Matching headstock and double-bound.
Oh yeah, and some of the poorest playing I have ever recorded… sorry for that!
